1930s Chinese Silk Loungewear Set (XS)

Stunning vintage c. 1930s Chinese silk pajama loungewear set in vibrant red and yellow. The fabric is a very luminous, machine embroidered silk in red with yellow and black leaf-like swirling designs. The top has a high neckline with toggle closure. There are 7 toggles down one side in a traditional Chinese style. It has a tapered waist and flared hip/hemline. The trousers have a waist tie for scrunching up to your desired fit. Could be worn separately or together. Would fit size XS best as the top is petite - Please see measurements below.

Condition: Very good vintage condition - small beginnings of a tear near the neckline but has been mended to reinforce the seam.

Measurements (taken seam to seam with garment lying flat un-stretched - double for bust, waist, cuff, hip):

TOP - shoulder edge to edge: 14” / bust: 16” / waist: 14" / length (shoulder to bottom hem): 26 / hem across: 21"

TROUSERS - waist (untied): 19" / hip: 23.5" / length: 33.5” / cuff: 12" / inseam: 20" / rise: 12"
