1940s Elgin Enamel Compact Powder Case
Sweet vintage c. 1940s-1950s Elgin American Beauty brass with black and white enamel compact makeup case. The exterior is a brass-toned metal on the bottom with black enamel top that has lovely white designs near the top border. The interior is brass-toned with a mirror, a powder compartment with snap release clasp that work perfectly. There is no powder puff of makeup in the case. Marked American Beauty - Made in Canada.
Condition: good vintage condition - some overall signs of wear/age. The enamel on the top of the exterior has a few dings and scratches . The brass interior has some minor rusting/tarnish around the edges and the mirror has a few black specs. Does not come with make-up. Has not been cleaned inside. Has a lovely vintage charm as is.
